This hand painted ceramic Italian antique terracotta bowl is from the region of Puglia, Italy. The simple green floral design around the rim is characteristic of this area. The shape is nice too. It is a bowl, but a very shallow one. This bowl shows wear around the rim which adds to its authentic rustic character. The old pottery from Puglia, like this bowl, is thick and has a rustic feel. The hand painted designs are typically very simple.
